Andreas Gassenhuber studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University of Munich with a focus on communications engineering, computer and processor development and semiconductor technology. He graduated in 1995 with a diploma. Mr. Gassenhuber also has several years of experience in the field of medical technology. During his studies, he worked for the companies BMW and Rohde & Schwarz in Munich and the Analogic Corporation in Massachusetts, USA.

Andreas Gassenhuber joined our firm in 1994, has been a European Patent Attorneys and a European trademark and design attorney since 1998, and became a partner in 2003.

Mr. Gassenhuber advises both domestic and international clients in proceedings relating to any kind of industrial property rights, from their acquisition to their defense or enforcement. He has particular experience in patent litigation, both on the plaintiff’s side and on the defendant’s side. In addition, he often leads extensive oppositions against German and European patents in various technical fields, for example in the field of medical technology, computer-implemented inventions or fine mechanics. Mr. Gassenhuber always puts himself in the client’s special situation and perspective, also taking cultural issues into account. He is responsible for domestic and international clients with a focus on the Asian and United States, which he regularly travels to.
